Streaming In, Summarization Out: How We Turned Global Talks Into Shareable Visuals Remotely

Capturing key insights and moments from ADPList Festival through 25 shareable, AI-generated summaries and portraits.

Founded in 2021, ADPList is a global community with 30,000+ verified mentors who have mentored more than 100 million minutes in 141 countries across the globe. They organise an annual epic 24-hour conference with 100+ legendary speakers in Design, AI, Product & Career Growth.

‍

Invited as official ADPList content partners, we brought in our AI software, Thoth.ai — to create a combination of AI-powered visual summaries, and portraits.

‍

‍

As content partners, we strive to empower the mentorship community with powerful summaries packed with key learnings and insights from the sessions.

We did this through —

1 — Event Branding

Incorporating ADPList’s dynamic colour scheme and logos — we customised content layouts and fonts to generate a colour-themed template.

Our designers played around with colour-coded tracks:

  • Purple — Groundbreaking work
  • Yellow — Career growth & leadership
  • Pink — Entrepreneurship
  • Blue — AI & Emerging Technologies

‍

2 — Remote Event Workflow

Hosted on Airmeets, we tuned into the event on our laptops to transcribe the sessions.

Transcribing over 24-hours of insightful content — ADPList wanted their community to:

(1) Walk away with a packaged compilation of 25 session summaries, and

(2) Have a fun, viral digital experience — as they share viral content from the event.

‍

3 — Insights from our Founder

As an advocate & leader of the design community, CEO & Founder, Chia Yee Hui, spoke about Protecting Creativity in the Age of AI.

The onslaught of AI has led to artists, musicians, and writers globally boycotting against generative AI.

‍

In contrast, a growing wave of digital media artists: music, video, and content producers -- have embraced AI as a pre- and post-production tool. Between big tech, private financing, and media monopolies -- can the individual, independent artist truly survive, if not thrive? As an analog artist turned AI software founder, Yee has a few tips to share on how to shrewdly navigate sharky IP and business waters, on fighting to keep your passion’s alive.
